As part of my work for Celebrating Leeds I know it is essential to have correspondence with the girls which I will be presenting. Through the briefing David did mention this was part of one of the requirements, which I want to do anyway.
Initially I put the message forward to the groups to see if they would want to do this at all:
RWTG
To summarise this, I put forward the opportunity to the RWTG group to make sure that they would actually want to participate.
As seen here, I got 5 girls responses saying yes, which for me was enough to say to myself to go ahead with it because through images I would say 5 girls is a good enough number to show community due to the power of using photography to capture moments such as all the girls together or through compiling the images together.
I also checked in with some other girls which I skate with often in Leeds, after this message I spoke them in person when we met up to go to House Skatepark.

LEEDS SKATE GALS AND PALS
Once I had arranged a date for the photoshoot I added this post to the Leeds Skate Gals and Pals page, who I often skate with, to try and encourage even more girls to come out and skate.
Correspondence with girls over actual content and how it is displayed:
** After the photoshoot, I realised what I wanted to continue doing was discuss with the girls over how the images are displayed and what the images communicate**
All of the RWTG group are creative and either have done or do creative degrees, so I think its a great idea to involve them in some of my decisions. I want the girls to feel involved and excited about this opportunity and feel as though they have their say in how they are going to be presented to Leeds!!
I opened this discussion with he girls to hopefully get some input as to what they might want written on the images if I went down that route. All girls agreed on just having ‘Rolling With The Girls’ on the layout.
